SocialGrooves.com Wins Bronze for the 2019 Marketing Excellence Award in Mobile Marketing!

SocialGrooves.com (Social Groove Solutions Sdn Bhd) took home the bronze award for the 2019 Marketing Excellence Award in Mobile Marketing for our work on Tmall’s “Double 11 – Biggest One Day Sale” campaign with Alibaba group.

The Double 11 campaign was a re-brand of Singles Day in China into a Global Shopping Festival, which SocialGrooves.com was tasked to execute within just 3 weeks.

It was a huge success thanks to our fantastic team who managed help the campaign to achieve a Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) of USD 30.8 billion and 11.5 million social media reaches in the largest single collection of a one-day sale in history.

We took on many challenges to achieve these dazzling results, including international coordination with agencies from Taiwan and Hong Kong and developing a voice-based game called Global Treasure Rush using node.js and Google Assistant integration. 

Speaking on our momentous victory, SocialGrooves.com CEO Christopher Tock remarked,

“It’s been a long-time myth, that a lot of us boutique agencies would never be able to compete with larger global agencies. But we felt that times have changed, so we decided to give it a shot.

We gave the entry our all, and we worked hard on our presentation. Thankfully, we’ve been rewarded. This is the first time our agency took home an industry-led award that was organised and judged by our peers, who are industry leaders themselves.
